BRAINWRITING
Imagine you are faced with the challenge of finding innovative ways to optimize your processes. This is where brainwriting comes into play – a creative idea generation technique that helps you to develop new perspectives and unconventional approaches even in difficult situations.
Phase 1: Collecting ideas with post-it notes
In contrast to classic brainstorming, where everyone talks at the same time, in brainwriting everyone works on their own. Each team member receives a pile of post-it notes. The task could be: “How can we improve our marketing strategies?” Everyone writes down their ideas on the post-its – regardless of how unusual or unconventional they are.
Phase 2: Combining and developing ideas
Once everyone has written down their ideas, the post-its are collected on a large board. Now the participants can look at each other’s ideas, get inspired and build on them. Perhaps someone will discover an idea that can be combined with another.
Advantages
Brainwriting offers numerous advantages over classic brainstorming. One major advantage is that introverted team members can also contribute their ideas, as they can write them down anonymously. This often results in more and more diverse suggestions that might have remained unsaid without this method.
Variants & structure
There are different variants of brainwriting, such as the brainwriting pool, the collective notebook or the 6-3-5 method. Each of these methods has its own advantages and can be used as required. A moderator leads the process, collects the ideas and summarizes them.
Conclusion
Brainwriting is an effective method for generating a large number of ideas in a short space of time that can move your company forward. It is easy to use and is ideal for developing innovative solutions to complex challenges. Try it out and see how small ideas can lead to big solutions!
